About

Beki Aldam and Imogen Shaw set up a WhatsApp group, “Cargo Bikes of Stroud” for people who ride cargobikes, or bigger-than-average bikes of any form, in Stroud and the surrounding areas – in Spring 2021.

The idea is to be able to connect over issues related to family cycling; cycling accessibility; potholes; damn hills; and all things big bikes + Stroud.

We use the WhatsApp group to share tips and talk about how best to campaign for better, more accessible cycling infrastructure in Stroud district.

On this website you can find a directory of people in Stroud with cargobikes, you can fill in a survey to be added to the directory, and you find out about upcoming rides and other events – including where you can test ride bikes.

Beki speaking at the start of the Christmas ‘market ride’, which saw around 40 cyclists – many riding cargo bikes – ride along the A419 from Brimscombe Mills to the Electric Bike Shop in Stroud.
